As the winds blew hard and the skies clouded over, there was a feeling of apprehension amongst the Plug&Cool team as the gates opened for Cereals 2024. Memories of last year’s sun-baked show quickly faded away as the temperature dropped to 12 degrees, but spirits were raised when the first hoard of visitors made their way down the path toward the Plug&Cool stand.

The weather certainly couldn’t make its mind up throughout the first day, but despite enduring some periods of intense sunshine mixed with some lengthy downpours, farmers and agriculture enthusiasts were greeted at the stand with refreshments and some new products to feast their eyes on. This year we went for a bold new approach and ditched the usual marquee and doing this opened the exhibition space for visitors to take in the products on display and view them out in the open.

One of the newest additions to the catalogue was the Plug&Cool 2.2 kW Outdoor Fan which made its first appearance at a Cereals event. The rain canopy engineered to the top of the cooling fan was certainly put through its paces as the rain lashed down midway through the first morning, but not a drop of water made it through to the fan’s motor. It was a good first test and the Plug&Cool Outdoor fan passed with flying colours.

Also making its first appearance at a Cereals show was the Pedestal Rapeseed sleeve that easily slips over the top of a Poly Pedestal and prevents smaller grains from slipping through the slots. The Rapeseed Sleeve proved to be a big success with onlooking farmers, the only alternative is the less durable metal pedestals that crumple easily when driven into with a loader.

We also brought a hydor axial ventilation fan with us to show farmers that grain store ventilation is an important part of the cooling process. The hydor fan attracted a lot of interest from farmers and industry experts and signifies our commitment to providing the complete package to arable farmers, even if we don’t necessarily manufacture the product.

We really enjoyed this year’s Cereals show and value the opportunity to engage with our customers. We took some valuable enquiries and made new connections with potential resellers of the Plug&Cool brand. Our marketing manager, Rael Bearman took a bit of time away from the stand and captured some of the show’s highlights on film. You can see our official Cereals Show review on the Gibbons Group YouTube channel or at the end of this blog.
